RAEL – Celia Maria Rael, 75, of Anton Chicon died Sunday, May 11, after a long illness. She was born in Anton Chico to Crisostomo Aragon and Rumalda Jaramillo Aragon. She was married Sept. 6, 1954, at St. Joseph's Church in Anton Chico to Ernesto Rael. A lifelong Catholic, she was a member of St. Joseph's Church in Anton Chico. She was preceded in death by her parents, Crisostomo and Rumalda Aragon; husband, Ernesto Rael; sister, Anna Vasquez; and grandson, Matthew Maestas. She is survived by her daughters, Cecilia and husband Evaristo Maestas of Anton Chico, Loyola and husband Karl Leinheiser of Colonial Beach, Va., Claire and husband Gilbert Archuleta, Ruth and husband Ron Rivera, all of Las Vegas, N.M., and Gloria Jean and husband Francisco Gonzales of Albuquerque; sisters, Frances Garcia of Clovis, Irene Nunez, Lucille Perea and Josie Nelson, all of Albuquerque; brothers, Alfonso and Joe Aragon of Anton Chico, Santiago "Jimmy" Aragon of California; and many other relatives and friends. Family and friends are invited to join the Rael and Aragon families in celebrating her life with rosary services at 7 p.m. today, May 14, at St. Joseph's Church in Anton Chico. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 15, at the church with burial to follow. Rogers Mortuary, Las Vegas, N.M., 425-3511.
