Ruben S. Aranda, 37, of Louisiana, formerly of National City, died Sept. 6. He was born in California. Mr. Aranda worked in construction.
Survivors include his daughter, Rachel M. Aranda of San Diego; son, Isaac Varela of National City; mother, Raquel Aranda; sisters, Mavis Aranda of San Diego, and Angelita Fortner and Hortensia Celiceo of National City; brothers, Francisco, Richard and Raul of National City; and grandmother, Guadalupe Ramirez of Gonzales.
Mass: 11 a.m. today, St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1816 Harding Ave., National City.
