      <description>ARBUTHNOTT, John&lt;br&gt;Tailor, 63.  Aberdeen.&lt;br&gt;Jacobite in Duke of Perth's regiment.  Captured at Carlisle.  Prisoner in Carlisle, York and Lincoln.  Transported on "Johnson", master William Pemberton, from Liverpool 22 April 1747.  Landed at Port Oxford, Maryland 5 August 1747.&lt;br&gt;(P) (JAB) (PRO)&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I am not related to this person, I am just passing on this information, which comes from a book titled "Scots Banished to the American Plantations 1650-1775"  by David Dobson.
