I believe Philip was my grandfather. I know his father Antonio came from that exact town in Sicily around 1894. My grandfather married Sadie Rosearia Agresta... Does this sound like your family??

Antoinette has lived in miami/coral cables florida for a long time with my aunt mary palmieri, they were friends for 50 years. my aunt died at the beginning of the year and i'm in the process of trying to find Toni.

We have a heritage from Barbados, Mabel Jackman was my paternal grandmother (died in 1990) and Edna was her sister. I think their maiden name was Bains (not sure of the spelling). They grew up in Panama, but moved to NY when they were young.

Anyone know of our family or our history?

Hello, my name is Carol Rigsbee and I'm researching my son-in-laws family for my grandchildren. His ggrandfather was Salvatore Salamone who was married to Marianna De Marco. They had two boys and two girls (John, Vincent, Ida, and Rose). They all were born in NY. Ida married John Peter Saitta and later moved to North Carolina.

Is this by any chance your Salvatore, if so could you give us some information about his family. It would be most appreciated.

i am not sure .. i have been trying to find out .. since my grandfather has not been around for more than 30yrs or so and my grandmother is deceased as well for many years and my father wasnt close to his father's family it is not making it ez ..

Hi Jim,
thanks for responding, since I have posted that email, it has been found out that perhaps my Nonno ( grandfather) was originally Sicilian and that he moved to Milan as a young man on his own, therefore, my original details were not accurate?
We have no further records, as he is now dead and taken all this information with him.
I know he was in the Italian Army, and moved to Australia around 1950.
He was apparently a single child but was raised with many cousins by his Aunty and Uncle, and it could well be in Siciliy, as my father is trying to find more details.
What is your heritage and do you know of any Gaetano Arcadipanes - that is his name.......

my grandfather Jimmy Arcadipane came from Sicily .. not certain where... but anyway ... he lived in Thompsonville Ct for a while ... but had lived in Yonkers for a long time afterward... let me know if you know of a Jimmy Arcadipane.. ??

my name is jim arcadipane and I am from Yonkers... my grandfather, Jimmy Arcadipane i believe met and married my grandmother in connecticut, near massachussets... i was under the impression that we were from Agringento, Sicily.. (not sure)... i believe that there are a few of the family in Brooklyn NY.. as well as all over the country...etc... anyway.. it would be nice to correspond with you about our family....

my grandmother mary came here from sicily around 1914 or so... she married my grandfather jimmy arcadipane from Connecticut somewhere in the 1920's i think... let me know if you are aware of a connection .. not to clear on my grandfather's family since my grandpa jimmy died around 1961 or 1962 ...

My grandmother's maiden name was Concetta Arcadipane. Her brother's name was Antonio (Anthony) Arcadipane. Their father's name was Fililpo Arcadipane. They came to US early 1900's from pietropezia Sicily. My grandmother married my grandfather Pietro DiLavore. Her father Filipo live with her to help her raise her 5 son's since her husband (pietro) died at a very young age, About 30. My grandmother had 5 son's, my father Salvatore, his brother's Philip, Vincent, Charles and Joseph.

Hi, my name is Lisa Ann Arcadipane, I do not know if we are related. All I know is that my great-grandfather was Gaetano Arcadipane and that he was married to a Michelle Antionette. I do not know what her maiden name was. They had three childen, Nicholas, Anthony and a believe a daughter Gene. I do know that he came to America in 1913 through Ellis Island from Sicily but had to return to Sicily because he did not have papers or something like that. When he returned to Sicily he had to serve in the military but he did return to America. Please let me know if we are related or if you have any information.

Hi, my name is Lisa Arcadipane. I do not know if we are related. The background I have on our name is that my grandfather is Anthony Arcadipane and his father was Gaetano Arcadipane. Gaetano Arcadipane was from Sicily, his wife's name was Michelle Antoinette and they had 3 children, Nicholas, Anthony, and a daughter Gene. I do not know if I have the spelling of their names correct. I do know that my great-grandfather who was Gaetano came to America from Sicily. At the time of his first arrival he apparently did not have the correct paper work or something and had to return to Sicily. When he returned to Sicily he had to serve in a war which I do not know what war that was or if it was a war, maybe it may have been just to serve in the military. When he returned he came through Ellis Island. That is about all I know. If you have information you can share I would appreciate it.

I have been trying to locate and work out my Grandfather's heritage. I am an Arcadipane, and my father only knows that my Grandfather was born in Milan, Italy, and they moved to Australia around 1950.

Hi, My name is Antoinette Ann Arcadipane. I was born in New York city in 1927 on September 1. My parents are Carmella and Thomas Arcadipane. My mom and dad were both born in Palermo, Italy. My oldest brother, Salvatore Salamone, was also born in Palermo. I lost contact with Salvatore Salamone in Yonkers NY (I think) in the 1950's

I live in Coral Gables, Miami, Florida. I am retired and spend my time writing poetry. Please write to me about you if you belong to my family.
