      <description>No. 940-05&lt;br&gt;IMMEDIATE RELEASE 	September 14, 2005&lt;br&gt;DoD Identifies Army Casualty&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;            The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom. &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt; &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;            Sgt. Kurtis D. K. Arcala, 22, of Palmer, Alaska, died on Sept. 11, 2005, in Tikrit, Iraq, where an improvised explosive device detonated near his position during convoy escort operations.
