I have quiet a bit on the Ard Family. John Ard or (Aird) was born in Scotland abt. 1740 m. Jane b. abt 1740 had three childred. Jacob, Mary and John(2). He aslo married a woman named McHenry and after migrating to America they had a at least one son named Reuben on 14 Apr 1769 in Anson, North Carolina. He died on 1 Jan. 1845 in Versailles, Mosouri. John(2) b. abt 1764 m. Lois Duggan. They had eight children. Sally, Nancy, Sarah, Betty, John(3), William, Jacob and James b. abt 1785. James m. Temperance Bond and later a women named Skaggs. James and Temperance (b. in Georgia) were marriend in Kentucky and had twelve children after migrating to America. Peggy, Rhoda b. 1822, Malinda b. 1824, Eunice B. 1830, Nancy b 29 nov 1832 in Georgia, Indiana, William T. b. June 1834, Charles b 1836, John Wesley b. 11 Dec 1838, James K.P. bord 1834, Martha Sue b. 31 Jun 1844, Joel Hopkins b 23 Jun 1844 and Mary V. bor 1847. I have a lot more if any one is interested.
