My great-great grandfather, John David FitzGerrald, who was born in Mississippi around 1813, married Sarah Ard, who was born in 1821 in Louisiana. They lived in Louisiana where there children were born and later migrated to Texas.

Reuben ARd Jr. who was the twin brother to David Ard. They were in the Ozark area of Dale County. Reuben Ard Sr. born Nov. 11, 1740 - Feb. 29, 1836 North Carolina Militia is Buried at Bethal United Methodist Church Cemetery Echo, Dale County, Alabama. Grave marking for Reuben Ard was recently held at that cemetery. He married Agnes Dickerson. I am seeking info on this family. Thanks

Hi, Gene:
I saw your posting when I checked the ARD message board. I noticed you mentioned Indian blood in your "mother's side, Malone, Ard, Archer", etc. Actually, according to my mom, Doris Malone Neuman (your grandmother Dora's sister), there was no DIRECT indian blood in our line. However, branches of the Ards and maybe Malones and Archers, also, did intermarry with some native americans. I have not found any evidence in my research, either, that our direct line has any native american blood.

The Indian bloodline from the Manning side of my family follows Mary Mariah Givens, her father or grandfather was an Indian Cheif (I think Creek Indian)

I have an Uncle Harley T. Wamsley, born 1920 in WV that was KIA 14 Apr 1945 and buried in Belgium. He was married to a Leona Ard (her last name is widely disputed among family members; some say Art or Arn) and it is told that she was from the New Orleans, LA area. I have a picture of Leona and Harley. My mother seems to think that Harley and Leona divorced prior to his death and that she remarried. Can you confirm any of this info and are we dealing with the same persons?

Looking for info on my wife's Great Grandmother, Tamer Ard. She was born abt 1882 in Georgia. Around 1905, she married Jeffrey Talbert Lynn. The family later moved to Florida. In 1922, after several children, they had my wife's grandmother, Edna Louise Lynn. Been trying forever to find info on who Tamer's parents were but keep hitting brick walls.
