Major Flemming and Julia Caroline Rice are
my 3rd generation grandparent's back. MF had
a son James Oakley and his son Major Jefferson is my Mom's father. The Ardis name
seems to be a rather difficult one to trace.
Is there a history of the Ardis men throwing
off more female children than male? I also,
have family in TX- Vidor, TX. That is where
all of my Ardis relatives are or were until
I came across you and also Sue and Sharon
Martin in Gurley, Alabama. Do those names
ring a bell for you? Sue is where my newest
info came from. She is related thru MF and
Johns brother Joseph. Send me your snail mail address and I will send you some info on
