I am searching for family of my great-grandfather, JOHN ARDIS and his brother, JOSEPH ARDIS of Jackson Co., Alabama.

JOHN ARDIS was b.1830 (where?) and died 1900 in Smith Co., Tx.- Buried @ Oakwood Cemetery, Tyler, Smith Co., Tx.

JOSEPH was b. 1837 in Ala., d. 1882 Jackson Co., Ala. Buried @ Tanyard Cemetery, in Holleytree, Jackson Co., Ala.

MARY T. (Wilson) ARDIS was b. 1839, Marshall Co., Ala., died there in 1872.

JOHN married: (1)NANCY CARROLL in Jackson Co., Ala. in 1866; (2) MARY T. WILSON (my great-grandmother) in Marshall Co., Ala. in 1868 -MARY T. (Wilson) ARDIS was b. 1839, Marshall Co., Ala., died there in 1872 and, (3) SARAH ELIZ. WILSON (Mary's sister) in 1872.

JOHN and MARY T. WILSON are my great-grand-parents. Their 2 children were: MARGARET ANN ARDIS, b. 1869 and SUSAN ELIZABETH ARDIS, b. c.1872.

JOHN and JOSEPH's father was THOMAS ARDIS, b. c.1799 in Va. We think he was married to SUSAN (Pockrus) ARDIS, b. c.1810.
