I have information regarding JOE ARDIS enslaved at Silver Bluff Plantation, SC, owned by James Henry Hammond of Redcliffe.
Joe ARDIS married Lavinia GOODWIN b. circa 1828 at Silver Bluff, the daughter of Joe GOODWIN b. circa 1776 and Jane b. circa 1781. Joe and Lavinia ARDIS had at least seven children:
1. DILSY b. 12 April 1854 Silver Bluff, SC
2. NOAH b. 27 Nov 1856 Silver Bluff, SC
3. SAMUEL b. 09 Sept 1861 Silver Bluff, SC
4. ANNETTE b. 22 June 1863 Silver Bluff, SC
5. NERO b. circa 1866
6. LEWIS b. circa 1869
7. SANDERS b. circa 1869
