Nicklaus Arend Sr. born about 1812 in Luxembourg and died in 1888 in Sheldon, IA. He was married to "Mary". His children were Nicklaus Jr. born 1850 in Lux.and married to Mary Krupp. Also had a son Bernard born 1855 born aboard ship and buried in Sterling IL. Third son George born 1845 in Lux. died 1901 in Sheldon IA.and married to Elmira.
