Ginger!!! I haven't seen her in ages!!!!! Used to go see her all time. Her dad and my dad (Billy) were 1st cousins! Tell her I said hello and holler at me!
The only thing about Martin and Charlotte Arend that I truly know is that he had a BIG busy mustache. He had 2 brothers that married 2 first cousins in Germany, before coming to America. I know that 1 was Hermann & I think the other was either Henry or Alfred. Hermann had a daughter that was mentally retarded and they lived in the Houston area for a while. My mom, (Zelma) and dad went to visit them once when they were in Houston area. She said the house was FULL of original antique furniture..wonder who has it now?? Charlotte lived in a nursing home in Muleshoe, TX for years. She was almost 96-97 when she died. She is buried in Haskell, and I met SO many cousins of my dad's from California while we were there. Someone that might know is Benny Zahn in Littlefield, TX. He is another cousin. His mother , Fannie Virginia Arend Zahn; was a daughter of Martin & Charlotte. I know he is listed in the phone book. He was a CPA there for ages. Tell me all about Ginger...married to ?? Stroope. Kids, etc.
