not my line - actually I work on a zillion lines for the family - the Arend line happens to be for Virginia Lee Arend (Ginger) - she was married to a first cousin of mine - - so since they have children who are Stroope's I am doing the research for them as well. Ginger's parents were Bennie Leonard Arend and Mary Joyce Sweatman, Bennie's parents were William Alfred Arend and Eula Allene Force, Willie's parents were Martin Arend and Charlotte Wilkie and apparently he was from Germany - d. 1954, Haskell County, TX (where Ginger's family on nearly all lines have lived for several generations).

Since he was only in America when he and Charlotte married - and she is a first generation American - her parents from Germany - am wondering if the families knew one another in Germany.

Do know when Charlotte Wilke's parents immigrated to America? I see on line they are Julius Wilkie and Sophia Finger. Do you have any further information on them?

Do you have any information on Martin and Charlotte Arend?
