Norman, In response to my name pronounciation, Yes, we use it as in Aren't, but it always surprises me of the many variations people come up with.

We have not had any luck tracing dad's family beyond his father in Pittsburgh, but we have his wife's maiden name and his Grandfather was named Michael who lived in Poland (Russia/Germany). We have been researching Immigration records for quite some time, but cannot find where or when Walter and his (known) brother Karol immigrated. Dad thought they came in through Canada. The only resource I suspect that may have a record is the St. Alban's lists which are not indexed on the Internet. We are hoping that we''ll have some success with the LDS microfilm library. Our main goal is to find where in Poland they originated from.... Province, Diocese, Parish, town, etc.

Hope your contacts can shed some clue on our mutual search,

Good Luck,
Carl
