I'm a Leicestershire born Argyle and know quite a bit about us. Many Argyles who went to USA were strictly speaking ORGILLs, this family originated from around Church Gresley in Derbyshire and some moved to Market Bosworth in Leics. My family has it's earliest known origins around the Hinckley area of Leics. and we are pretty widespread now, Aus., NZ, S. Africa. The Argyles as a whole are concentrated in the East Midland counties of Leicestershire, Derbyshire and Staffordshire and we may be all related if we get back far enough.
