Peter was the son of Rueben Armantrout B 1809, D 1843. He married Margaret Hoover. Peter(father to Jeremiah Armantrout) from Miami Co. Indiana are my 4X and 3X grandfathers. I'm looking for Peter's genealogy. Could this be Micheal son of Johan Heinrich Ermentraudt born in Nassau, Germany? I think they came to Rockingham Co.,Va. then Pennsylvania.

I am a decendent of Sarah Catherine Armantrout and would like to connect with you. I have family pictures of Leroy Blackford Armantrout with his wife and children also Alfred Theodore Armantrout and family. I also have a family reunion in 1909 in Indiana.

Prominent Munro Lady Found Dead In Orchard
Noting the absence of her mother, Mrs. Annie (Adeline, "Addie") Meyers (Myers), from the house, the daughter, Mrs. Francis (Grace Myers Francis Misner), set out to find her, believing she had gone to the orchard after apples, and in a short while discovered the absent mother lying face downward on the ground, dead, just where she had fallen and without evidence of a movement of the lady after the collapse.
The remains were quickly removed to the house and a doctor called but he pronounced death due to appoplexy. She had been in her usual good health.
The funeral will be held from the farm home in Munro township this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock with Rev. James Lee officiating, and interment will be in the Munro cemetary.
Mrs. Meyers, the widow of the late H.J.D. Meyers (Jacob Hiram "Dutch" Myers), is survived by three sons, Grover of this city, Raymond of Munising, and Clyde of Perrington; also two daughters, Mrs. Grace Francis of Perrington, and Mrs. Charles Striebich of Munro. She is also survived by three brothers, Ike Armantrout of Hebron township, Charles and William of Washington state and one sister, Mrs. Mary McComb of Detroit.
Mrs. Meyers was born at Peru, Indiana, on Sept. 24, 1865 and moved with her parents to a farm in Hebron township, Cheboygan county, when she was 12 years of age. She was united in marriage to Mr. Meyers 47 years ago, and they had lived in Munro ever since, Mr. Meyers preceding his wife to the grave by only a couple of years.

My GGreatgrandfathers name was Lee A. Armantrout (actually his 1st.name was Leanderson) and he was around the Martin County area.

My Ggrandmother (his daughter) was Julia Armantrout, married William Booth in Johnson County .

I would love to have a copy of whatever you have and would be delighted to pay for expenses . Please let me know what you need.

I have a handwritten Ledger from Leroy Armantrout saying his Grandfather was
Valentine. Leroy's father was Simon who married Hannah Blackford. Leroy married Louisa Moore and had 4 children one was Jesse ArthurArmantrout and he had my father Arthur Leroy Armantrout. There is a Charles Armantrout in Denver who has Valentine's Bible.

I have a Henry R. Ermantrout on the 1910 census. He is in Berks County, Reading City. he is the son of George Ermantrout from Montgomery County, PA. He is listed 14th precinct, Supervisor district 9, Enumeration district 95, Sheet number 5 A [could be 15 A] as it is difficult to read.He is on line 21 listed with wife, Emma [Emmaline Maury], children Gertrude, Henry R, Donald and the mother in law, Sarah Maurer [Maury]. I too am searching more about Emma and Henry since Emma is my husband's gr.gr.aunt and Sarah is his gr.gr. grandmother.

I am interested in Nelson Armantrout who took the children of Sarah Margaret Warnock and Hallett Scott to raise after Sarah Margaret Warnock died. I know he was in Ft. Recovery, Ohio in 1880 but later moved to Wilson county, Kansas because my great great grandmother Charlotte Isabel Scott, the little girl he took in, married my great great grandfather James Basil Hunt in that county. Any information would be appreciated.

My GGreat Grand Mother's Maiden name was Armantrout, and she lived in Martin Co Ky. Her Name was Mellisa Dolly Armantrout. But that's all I know But with very few Armantrout's in that area hopefully there is a condition.

Ambrose and Mary Jane Pugh Brenner Armantrouts Children
were 1 set of twins but did not live b abt 1858 then George Valentine was born a twin but the other died, George V. weighed only 1 1/2 lbs. when born and his first crib was supposed to be a cigar box. This is my wife's granddad. there were 2 more children born Henry K. b 1864 d 1906, Catherine E. b 1869 d 1926. George V. and Catherineis Burried in the cemetary at Freedom Oklahoma. Henry and Catherine were neather married.

I just run into your /e-mail to Brian Arnold. My wife is the the great grand daughter of Ambrose Armantrout. Her grand father was George Valintine Armantrout and her father was Elton Earl Armantrout, Mary Jane Pugh Brenner Armantrout was Buried at the Round Mound West and North of Sedan Kansas. She died the 21 Nov. 1880. Ambrose's second wife was Mary Elizabeth Jacob also buried in the same family plot.

We have a Fred and Ralph in our line born to a Joshua N. Armantrout b. 29 0ct. 1827, Died 27 may 1898. Married 2 times 1st. wife Sarah Lipp they had 1 child Named Lender b 12 Aug 1850, died less than1year old.
2nd. wife Amanda Shipp b Abt 1839 Frankfort Ind.d. 12 Aug 1914, in Frankfort Ind. Married 23 Sep. 1858. There Children were 1 Charles J.,2 Laura M. Married Oscar Miller,3 Clara M. 4 Fred 5 Ralph Married Alice Lynn, 6 Clyde, 7 Mable. I hope this helps. This came out of a book plublished 1978 by Russel S. Armantrout
