Surnames: Armentrout, Baker , Mantle ETC.
John's mother was Mary Armentrout. She died when John was three yrs old, That is why Mary's Aunt Amelia Carr Peck and Jacob Peck raised him. Mary is also buried in Peck Farm Cemetery. Mary's parents were Henry Armentrout and Elizabeth Carr.(Amelia's sister) I have all census records on John living with Jacob and Amelia clear up till Amelia died then he went to live with Henry McGath. That is who John lived with when he died May 1, 1897. He made out his will on April 29, 1897. I have a copy of his Will and his obituary. There was 2 possibilities of who John's Mother could be, It was either Elizabeth Carr Armentrout or her daughter Mary. I believe Mary had him out of wedlock. If you look into this tree you will see that Amelia Carr Peck had two sisters that were married to Armentrout men. Elizabeth that married Henry Armentrout and Mary Maria Carr that married Johan(John)Daniel Armentrout. Mary Maria died in 1826 in Virginia the same yr John was born and Elizabeth died 1828 in Virginia. I am going back to Pickaway County at the end of this month. I'm not sure there is anything else I can find , I have every record that can be got from the court house and Genealogy Library over there. But I have been in contact with the man that maintains the Peck Farm Cemetery and he is looking for any records that might be over there about the cemetery. I will let you know.
