I am the son (born 1945) the James Harry and Jo Armor. I have two sister, Nancy, deceased born in 1930 and Patsy Ann Goodlett in Dallas, Texas, born in 1933. We have traced our grandfather, James David to Mississippi, but are not able to go back further. Any one help us?

Judson Armor b. 1844 - d. 1924, served as a private with Co. E of the 105th Regt. Infantry. Mustered in Sept. 4, 1961 at Pittsburgh, PA. Discharged March 25, 1963 for wounds received at Fredericksburg, VA Dec. 13, 1862. He is buried at Northwood Cemetery in Downingtown, PA. I have photos of the grave if you are interested.

In the old Armstrong Academy Cemetery near Bokchito, Oklahoma are the graves of 2 children with the last name of Armor. Pearlie Armor born Oct. 10, 1901 died June 5, 1903
Baby Armor born and died Feb. 16, 1896.

I believe this is the same family because Ollie May Dill has some daughters buried in unmarked graves in this same cemetery. I am not related but am familiar with the old cemetery

Davis ARMOR and Elizabeth LIVELY were the parents of Mahala Jane ARMOR. Mahala was born Jan. 4, 1843 in Tippah Co., MS. She married William Wiley SHOOK.
Supposedly ARMOR and LIVELY married in Giles Co., TN in 1815. Need help with these lines.

My Grandfather last name was Armour, however; I never met him before. He moved to Memphis, Tenn, Shely County where he married my grandmother, They had 5 oys and 1 girl. My father name was Alfred. My Grandmother.....I think her name was Ruby, I am not too sure.

Eliza Lambe-Armor had 4 children, one set of twins , George ,Mary Elizabeth,William, and Jenny(Jennifer?). Mary married a Custer. Family lived in Canton, OK.

I am not related to any Armor(s) that I am aware of. The Muster Rolls / Regimental Histories / Compiled Service Records of Confederate Soldiers did not provide genealogical data on its men. It is necessary, however, to follow some of their genealogical data in order to find where they settled after the CW was over and to know if they filed a Pension Application or not. James N. (or M.) Armor enlisted in Company A, which was formed from Greene County, Georgia. If these soldiers moved out of state after the war was over, it becomes necessary to look in another state for the pension application since one will not be found in Georgia.

Looking for information on Maria E. Armor/Armour married Middleton White in Lauderdale Co., Alabama December 1835. They moved to Randolph Co., Arkansas about 1845. Children are: Elizabeth b. abt 1837/Nancy C. b. abt 1840/Mary Ann b. abt 1842/Susan E. b. abt 1847/William Joseph b. abt 1850/James M. b.abt 1854 and Rodah Francis b. abt 1858. Maria may have had a sister named Elizabeth who married George Glasco in 1842. Maria and Middleton have a William H. Glasco age 18 living with them on the 1860 Randolph Co census.
Any info will be greatly appreciated.

Truman C. Armor
1914-2001
Truman Cecil Armor, 86, of The Village in Oklahoma City died on Oct. 30 after a brief illness.
He was born on Nov. 16, 1914, in Foster, Okla., to Ollie and C.E. Armor.
He retired from Wilson Foods after 42 years and was actively involved with Wilson Credit Union.
He was a charter member of Village Baptist Church.
He married his wife Pauline in 1955.
He is survived by his wife; three children; Dale Armor of Oklahoma City, Jerry Spencer of Burnswick, Ga., and Jeanne Gertsch of Cheyenne; six grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother and two sisters.

My ggrandfather was William Thomas Armer. Have no other info on him except that he married Rachael M. Lee in 1879. She was born in Booneville, Warrick Co. Ind. Feb. 11, 1860.
The only children I know of were my grandmother, Helen Armer Hampton and possibly a sister named Alice. Am having a terrible time finding info beyond that.
Helen had following children: Lottie, Mary Rachael, Helen,
Jasper (died at about age 7), Richard Leon, and Hilda.
Is it possible we have a connection?

I have been also looking for a William Armor
who was born in Penn. about 1816. His wife was Mary A. ?.She was born about 1820. They moved to Ill before 1841 because their first child was born that year.
My grandfather was Lemual Robson Armor(Rob) born in 1903. His father was Elias P. Armor born 17 March 1861 in Ill. He married Martha Jane Smith(Jenny). Both are buried at Bokchito, Oklahoma. E.P. and Jenny had 8 children; Della, ollie Mae,Homer, Unnamed Baby, Flossie M., Pearlie ?. Lemuel Robson (Rob) and William Mose (Bill). my great greatmother eliza lambe ran 14 miles on barefeet to establish land in the great oklahoma land grant. There she married a man named Armor, had 4 children, 1 set of twins, Bill Armor, and mary elizabeth armor, then custer, then Arnold., George Armor, and jennie armor. they lived in Canton, ok. and had a farm. anyone having any information please advise. many armors lived throughout the us, in oklahoma, kansas, idaho, calif, andTexas. my mother is rowena jean custer, mary's daughter. my uncle is George Dickson Armor Custer. They are in their late 70's and 80's and i am trying to fit my family tree together.mary was widowed from richard custer and headed to Calif. working for all major movie studios. i am most interested in finding out more about mary elisabeth armor custer arnold, and her husband, and her children jean and george.
i know that jennie armor had much to do with the Canton oklahoma paper up to her death in the 70's. And that there are other Armor's and Custers out there who should be able to piece this together.

Looking for the family of Isaac Asbury Sewell [A.S.] Armor. He was born in either GA or TN abt 1838. He was killed serving in the Civil War, having enlisted in Washington, TN. He married Tennessee Newman DAY who had their only child, Mattison, months after Isaac had died. Any tiny clue would be appreciated.

The author of the book "A History Of Downingtown" is Jane L.S.Davidson.The pictorial history is by Joseph E.Miller.I got my book in 1999 but the copy right says 1982........so there are plenty left.Actually mine is a second printing signed and numbered #383 out of 2000.Hope this helped......N

My William Gillespie Armor was born November 12, 1834 in Gettysburg or Carlisle, Pa. He married Emma D. Miller in 1866 in Pittsburgh. Their children are Charles, Emma, Grace and James. If your William also was from Pittsburgh, I do know that there were 2 William G. Armor's in Pittsburgh at the same time! Don't give up. I found them both in the city directories.
