My Armstrongs came to Ohio about 1822. The names run William, Robert, Francis, Charles, Edward, etc. Not sure what kind of business they had in Ireland but my gggrandfather had to go back in 1861 or so to get his 'fortune'.
My grandfather told me his family came from Dublin, and Mayo. Sometimes the 'east coast and the west coast'.
