Hi,
I am trying to clarify my information. Here is what I have traced some family down to, and if you have information on where I am stuck or mistaken, please help!

My mothers roots are as follows:

I. Thomas Armstrong (1400, 5th lord on Maingertoun)
II, Alexander Armstrong
III. John (johnnie) armstrong
IV. Christopher Armstrong
V. William Armstrong (Christe's Will)
--- My linkage from here is:

William had some children, Simon, Thomas, Robert, John, Edward (AKA. EDWARD OF THE BORDER). (EDWARD IS MY BRANCH)

Edward Armstrong settled in Northern Ireland at a place called brookboro. In 1650, he left Brookboro to settle at Terwinney. THIS IS WHERE MY TRACING GETS CONFUSING. I have been led to beleive that Edward married a daughter of a Captain Thomas (I need this info verified), and had three sons (JAMES, JOHN, and FRANCIS). JAMES IS MY LINK, and I have James as being the grandson of William (Christe's Will). He succeeded his father edward in the possession of Terwinney. JAMES DIED IN TERWINNEY ESTATE in 1745. This is the part that is confusing me because I am finding conflicting information surrounding Edward/James/and sons. I do know my linkage from here is James' son William Armstrong, SR (1709-death sometime around 1770). Another report states that William was born in 1718 in brookboro.

Can anyone help me?!?!?!?!?!

Thank you!
