After finding Leroy Armstrong's death certificate, I was wrong about a few things the other day:
Died August 26, 1917 in Genoa of bladder cancer
age 75 years, 7 months, and 4 days (making date of birth Jan 22, 1842), born in Venice, NY
Father: Silas Armstrong, born Venice NY
Mother: Clancy Burns, born UNK (1855 census: Cayuga Co, NY)(her sister(?) Melvina was born in Canada)
