I'm wanting to find others who are currently actively researching Arney genealogy. More specifically, people wanting to solve the mystery of Jacob Arney.

Jacob Arney, who died in Lincoln County, NC in 1784.
Jacob's eldest son, was Christian Arney, born in 1750 in York County, NC and died in Lincoln County, NC in 1834.
Jacob Arney supposedly moved his family from Pennsylvania in 1767 to North Carolina and settled about 3 miles from Bethania.
So, what is the mystery you ask? We want to prove:
1. That the Jacob Arney, who died in NC in 1784, was the same Jacob Arney, who bore Christian Arney in 1750.
2. That Jacob Arney moved his family, including Christian, in 1767 to North Carolina (from Pennsylvania)
3. We want to prove who Jacob Arney's siblings were.
4. We want to prove who Jacob Arney's parents were.
5. Finally, where did Jacob Arney and his family come from? (were they already in the United States, or did they come from another country, i.e. immigrate to the USA)?

Proving all this, will finally solve the mystery of our Jacob Arney, a mystery over 200 years in the making.
