We split way back with the sons of the first Arpin. That would b Emery Arpin dit Poitevin. One of his sons is Rene Guillame, my ancestor and the other is Jean Baptiste Arpin dit Poitevin. That's a ways back.
Joseph Rene married to Marguerite Perron was Antoine's father. Wow they had a ton of kids. I have looked in Sorel and Contrecourfor Antoine. But I'm wondering if he died in the war of 1812 and how would I find out. I have done a lot of research through the American-French Genealogical Society in Woonsocket, Rhode Island and a lot in Montreal.
