Arquette / Paquette - Native American connection

I have been reading thru the Arquette posts at Ancestry.com.
My father is Albert Meyette b 1918. My grandmother is Clara Arquette Meyette b 1893. Her father is Eli or Elias Arquette b 1860, all from Monroe Co. Michigan. Eli's father is Anthony Arcouet b 1826. His father Alexis Arcouet from Quebec... for starters.

There is oral history in our family that one of our gggrandmother's was Native American; however no one has been able to establish this. I am writing to anyone here to see if perhaps if we worked backwards there would be a way to establish a link to this theory. After reading thru almost 300 posts, I find this to be a theme there too, so there must be some validity to it.

By the way, I'm located in Wenatchee, WA, not that far from references made to Arquettes from the Yakama Indian Nation near Yakima, WA. I find it rather uncanning that I perhaps might have relatives very close that I was unaware of! There are also references to a Mohawk connection thru Quebec/New York. It would be quiet interesting to learn how it all fits together.

You may contact me directly at: claremeyette@yahoo.com

P.S. on my father's side paternally, I also have Paquette-Pocquet family members if this would be of any importance.
Thank you!
