My madien name is Arrow & I'm from Binghmaton N.Y. My grandfathers name was Kenneth but not sure of his middle name. He had 3 children...Milton Kenneth (my dad) Arthur(still living & in the area)also a daughter whose name began with a "L" (Lanell? Can't spell her name). My grandfather died around 1961 and is buried near Windsor, N.Y. is this the family you are looking for?My grandmother died years later in Fla and her name was Phyliss if I remember right.

As far as I can establish all the Arrows in SA are related from Joseph in 1852. The brothers split and went to TVl, Bbn and PE area

Arrows or Arrowes family photos

I have been given a cigar box of family photos of the Arrowes family. I was in southern California two years ago and someone was throwing the box of pictures out. A cousin of mine took them and gave them to me. I am not related in any way to this family but if anyone is please email me back and you can have the pictures.Pictures are around 1940-1950s. Some of the names on the pictures are: Georgian Rose, Reed, Barton, Eileen, Hap, Kelly, Edy, Mary, Mil, Phillip Jean Arrowes, Josephine Arrowes. Some pictures were taken at Historical Publishers in Santa Ana, CA, Portrait by Irene in Long Beach CA, Fade Proof in Fullerton CA, and Benson, Smith & Co. Honolulu. This family lived in Walnut/Rowland Heights are in California. Most likely there are some family members still there. Kenneth Rogers Arrow, New York

Looking for any connections to the family of Kenneth Rogers ARROW, son of Arthur ARROW and Louie May POST.

Kenneth was born in 1907, supposedly in Washington D.C., and died in 1961 in Binghamton, NY, where he had spent most of his adult life. He was my mother's step-father.

Kenneth's father, Arthur, was probably the son of William J. ARROW, born 1846 in England, a tinsmith by trade. If he was, then (according to the 1880 census of Cumberland County, NJ) he was born about 1871 in NJ -- the ONLY Arthur Arrow in the entire 1880 census of the United States. This census entry shows Arthur as the son of William J. (age 34, born England) and Elizabeth (age 30, born PA).

The detailed info for Arthur shows that his mother was born in NY, however -- so Elizabeth is probably William's second wife.

There are 3 other children in the family, all born in NJ, to William and Elizabeth.

We welcome any insight, clues or connections!

I have decided to try and track down some of my dad's relatives and create a family tree
My father ( deceased 1998) was George Edward Arrow born in South Norwood in 1926 and moved to Surrey when he was 2years old. He grew up in East Molsey, Surrey. He had several brothers and sisters..a sister called Cathy and brother Alfred. He moved to Ireland with my mum Elizabeth McCauley in 1975.

My Grandfather is Sydney Ernest Arrow. His father was Sydney Walter George (I Think!) His brother was Ernest Edward. I can trace my family back to the early 1700's in Tunbridge.

Arrow Family

We are researching the Arrow Family (have seen it spelled Aroe, Arow and Yarrow) from England, specifically the daughter Elizabeth born April 2, 1842. The family immigrated to the US around 1842-43, but have not found the ship record as of yet.

Her parents names are William and Elizabeth, but on the daughter's death certificate her father is listed as H. Arrow. However, we know from a city directory that the father's name was William and not "H". We have been told by librarians that the English often dropped the "H" from their surname so their last name might have been Harrow instead. Does anyone know if this is true?

Any information on this family or the spelling of the last name would be appreciated. We do have Elizabeth Arrow's will and records for her children if anyone would like to share.
