WAVERLY: Bernard Thomas Arrowood Sr., 78, of Morse Street, Waverly, Ohio, died 10:12 p.m. Monday, August 2, 2010 at the Pike Community Hospital Emergency Room.
Tom was born May 23, 1932 in Chillicothe, Ohio, the son of the late Clyde Arrowood and Margaret (Blair) Arrowood. On July 18, 1985, he was united in marriage to Donna (Eblin) Arrowood who survives.
Also surviving are son, B.T. Arrowood and wife Dee and daughter, Linda Lawson both of Chillicothe, OH; stepdaughter, Karla Chandler of Waverly, OH. Several grandchildren; nieces and nephews; brother, William Arrowood and wife Geraldine of Centerville, OH; and sister, Joann Venetta and husband Eugene of Pickerington, OH.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Loretta (Koons) Arrowood; and a stepson, Larry McFadden.
Mr. Arrowood was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, member of Orient Lodge #321 F & A M, Waverly, Aladdin Shrine, Columbus, Pike County Shrine Club, American Legion Merritt Post #142, Eagles Lodge Aerie #2227, and AMVETS Post #58 all of Waverly, VFW Post #2832, Piketon, OH and the DAV.
Graveside services will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 10, 2010 in Evergreen Union Cemetery with Rev. Randall L. Rinehart, Officiating. American Legion Merritt Post #142, Waverly, OH, will conduct military Graveside services.
A luncheon will be held at the Waverly Moose Lodge, 303 W. Emmitt Ave. 11:30 a.m. Tuesday August 10, 2010 after the graveside service. Everyone is welcome.
