Nelson - You are right, a blanket statement cannot be made about all Arroyos. I think it is important for Latinos to understand our history and that many of us have a Jewish heritage. This does not mean that we have to have a religious re-awakening - but it does mean that anti-Semitism needs to be questioned as a form of self hate.

As I stated before I have cousins who are very upset by even the mention of Jewish ancestors. I think denying our ancestors belittles their experience. We need a Latino Alex Haley to write our ROOTS.
