My Grandmothers mother was Cesaria Arroyo, I know she was born in Zacatecas, and had a daughter named Juana Arroyo Lucio in Zacatecas, in 1907, dont know the name of the town, Cesaria married Calixto Lucio from San Luis Potosi, he was a miner, and was poss. living in Zacatecas when they met have not been able to trace back any futher than that, can you help,I think we could be related, I live in Az..Thanks leijamary@yahoo.com

Flora is my mother's aunt. My mother is Francisca Arroyo y Ramos; her father was Catalino Arroyo y Burgos (Tano) and her mother was Escolastica Cartagena y Ramos (Nicolasa). Catalino and Tomasa were her grandparents. I guess that makes us cousins of a sort.

Just received your post. I don't recognize a Genara Arroyo from my research, but that doesn't mean we are not related. The people I'm looking for are descendants of Catalino Arroyo y Rivera, b. about 1875. He was married to Tomasa Ortiz y Burgos, b. about 1877. I have census records from Juana Diaz, Aibonito and Salinas from 1910, 1920, and 1930. Do you have any knowledge of these names or places?

I am looking for my husband's Arroyo Vazquez family from Guayama, PR. Rodolfo Arroyo Vazquez (b.abt. 1876) was my husband's grandfather. Rodolfo had a brother named Manuel Arroyo Vazquez. Their parents were Rodolfo Arroyo Cunil (b. abt. 1856) and Patricia Vazquez. If anyone has any information at all, please do not hesitate to contact me. I have been at this brick wall for several years now, and have no idea of where else to look. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

I am not religious in the slightest, however I have wondered if my family had some jewish blood in them. The features are rather uncanny and hard to deny. Were from Adjuntas, Puerto Rico nativly. Miguel Angel Arroyo & Lita Arroyo. My father is also Miguel Angel Arroyo, and I am Terrance Arroyo. Seems to me like the Arroyo's own that island :)

Hello, well not sure about records but on my small family tree I have available I have a couple Arroyos listed. My great grandmother Antonia Martinez her dad was Juan Arroyo married to Modesta Martinez Troche ( I know Modesta was from Yauco PR) and Juan's parents were Pedro Arroyo and Juana Caraballo. Dates estimated of births between parents would be around mid 1700s to early 1800s. I am sharing this info hope just some of this help as I also try to connect with their relatives. Also Modesta did immigrate to Hawaii ending up in Cali in 1901.

Hello Arroyo, I am very excited to find your posting. I would like to know if the arroyo's and sixto's ever made it to the state of Guerrero. My last names are Sixto De La Luz, the last name Arroyo is my grandmother's second last name. I dont have much information on the arroyo's and would like to see if we have the same family. Arthur S. Arroyo, 91, of San Diego died Sunday. He was born in New Mexico and was a radio communications officer for an offshore drilling company. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 35.

Survivors include his sons, Richard Arroyo and Arthur Arroyo of San Diego; brothers, Gus Arroyo of San Clemente and David Arroyo of Florida; and five grandchildren.

Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. today, Greenwood Mortuary, 4300 Imperial Ave., San Diego.

Services: 2 p.m. tomorrow, Last Supper Chapel, Greenwood Mortuary.

Entombment: Bible Mausoleum, Greenwood Memorial Park.

New information about my husband's Arroyo family.
His family seems to have come from Guayama and not Guaynabo. The earliest person we know of is Rodulfo Arroyo y Creuill (not sure af spelling on census form). No known wife name. One of his children was Rodulfo Arroyo y Vasquez. Rodulfo Arroyo Vasquez married (or maybe not)Maria Pujols. Then they had my father in law, German Arroyo Pujols, and his siblings, Hortensia, Cecilia, Enrique, and Fernando. The other Arroyo y Creuill children were Ricardo whom I cannot find, and Manuel. Manuel married Santos (could be spelled wrong)Lopez de Arroyo, and their children were, Manuel Arroyo y Lopez, Pat??? (daughter), Rafael, Matias, Julio and Jorje. I used to live in NY and Have 2 brother that were put up for adoption by a family(Rivera or Balboa)when I was 5 yrs old(Alex and Eddie)and last I heard, I may have a sister (Rosa/ Rosie) from my mother. I don;t speak spanish and I translated as best I can. My husband is named Angel Manuel Arroyo III. His father was called "Talon", and his parents were married in 1976. His mother's name was LInda Arroyo.

Angel's parents names were Maria and Eric Arroyo-Vega. I am looking for any information we can find about his family.

Also, Angel believes the family was from the area of Elizabeth, NJ or NY.
