I am the great grand son of John F. Arter. born approx.1888 in Missiori. He married Janie had 9 children only 2 lived till Adulthood. Johnny Arter born 1912 died 1998. Della Mae Arter Mullins Born 1918 Died 1997.
Janie Arter remarried after Johns death in approx. 1928. To a man with the surname of Cook. They had 2 children. Janie's 2nd husband died young too. The two youngest chidren were placed with families. The girl Elizabeth Cook was raised by my grandparerts from the time she was 4 till she died at 16. The boy was eventually placed for adoption and adopted by a unknown family at age 6.

I'm looking for information about my indian background through my Arter ancestors. I also would like any information about my great uncle. I believe my Great grandfather was a brother or a least a cousin to your family members. Any information will be appreciated.
