Finding their graves is something I have tried to do for years.
I run notices in the Wirt & Calhoun Co WV papers.
All the older residents of Creson are gone now
The official of the DePue cem don't seem to know.
But I would very much like to find their graves & place a marker there.
James reportedly died in 1898 struck in the head by a limb while timbering (at an advanced age)
Mariah was living with =her son Isaac & Rebecca (Criss) Arthur. Isaac died in 1905 and is buried in the Depue Cem with a marker. Rebecca moved to Grantsviil & is buried in the Bethlem Cem. Some say they moved Isaac to a grave beside her but never moved his marker,
There are 2 sunken graves beside Isaac.I suspect these are the graves of James/Mariah, but I have no "Proof"
