Have hit a big brick wall trying to find information on my
Artis line. Hope some of this rings a bell???

My ggrandfather was John Thomas Artis, b. 1858; d. 1923
he was married to Elizabeth Clemmons, b. 1872
Their children were;
Gordon W., b. 1894; d. 1955
Clyde, b. 1896; d. 1968
Dorothy "Dot", b. 1907; d. 1986
Ruth, b. 1912; d. 1991

Dot married Charles Rose, when I was a child (60's)
they ran a store somewhere on Cockrell's Run near
Caldwell Rd.

Ruth was my grandmother, and was married to
Hobert Arnold.

As far as I know they all lived near Lucasville, and most
are buried in the Scioto Cemetery on Cockrell's Run.
