My name is Laura Lee Artis. My Father was John Lee Artis and my Mother was Annie Mae Artis (maiden name Rooks). My grand parents were Mazena Bottoms nickname "Big Ma" (Rooks) on my mother's side of the family. Mazena had 13 children-Christine, Tommy Earl, Frank, David, Rosa, Lucy, Lillie Ann, Matthew Rooks (Buddy), Francis, Enid, Joe, and two others. My grandmother on my father's side is named Lorena Anderson (maiden name-Artis). Her mother was Maria Artis. Her mother's name was Sarah World.
