I think it is so fascinating that even if we are not related that there are other Artis/Powell unions other than myu immediate family...the powells with whom I am connected to are from the Apex North Carolina area...
wiley powell was my grandmother's father and her mother was a "Raines: as I mentioned years ago in an earlier post...I have always thought ARTIS was an odd surname among african americans...although I have never met any of european descent and I just want to more about my genealogy.
