Young Couple of town Stettin Wed Saturday
At a ceremony performed at 2:30 o’clock Saturday afternoon at the German Methodist church of Rib Falls, by the pastor, the Rev. B. B. Zauner. Miss Esther Artus, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Artus, was united in marriage with Rudolf Fritz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Fritz. Both young people are residents of the town of Stettin.
The bride wore a brown flat crepe frock with a hat to match and carried an arm bouquet of roses, carnations and babies breath.
The bridesmaid, Clara Wenzel of Wausau, was attired in green flat crepe and wore a hat to match and carried mixed flowers. The bridegroom’s brother, Clarence, attended as best man.
The little flower girls were Agnes Artus, sister of the bride and Phylis Ann Fritz, niece of the bridegroom. They wore green crepe dresses and carried a basket of garden flowers.
Lawrence Artus and Martin Seehafer ushered.
The ceremony was followed by a reception at the home of the bride’s parents, which was attended by 100 guests. The home of decorated in green and white streamers.
Mr. and Mrs. Fritz will reside on the bridegroom’s farm and will be home to friends after October first.
Out-of-town guests at the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. William Artus of Edgar, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Artus of the town of Wausau. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wilde, Miss Ida Wilde, Miss Gladys Wilke, Mr. and Mr. Frank Fritz and daughter Phyllis, Mr Clara Wenzel and Miss Selma Seehafer of Wausau. Miss Clara Gresens of Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. August Wilde and daughter Betty of Marathon, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hilmershausen of Wausau, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Rusch of Range Line, Mrs. Herman Gresens and children of Cassel and Lawrence Hanke of Stratford.
