PRETTY WEDDING AT GERMAN M.E. CHURCH IN RIB FALLS
In a pretty ceremony performed last Saturday afternoon at the German Methodist church in the town of Rib Falls, the Rev. Hubert Feldt, Merrill, officiating. Miss Gertrude Artus, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Artus, town of Stettin, became the bride of Leonard Reiche, town of Rib Falls. The Rev. and Mrs. Feldt presented two solos during the ceremony and the wedding marches were played by Mrs. Edward Weber.
Miss Alma Artus, a sister of the bride was a maid of honor, the bridesmaids were the misses Alice Artus, as sister of the bride, and Loretta Reiche, a sister of the bridegroom.
Raymond Reiche, Green Bay, a cousin of the bridegroom, served as best man and the grooms were Elmer Semerau, a cousin of the bridegroom, and Lawrence Artus, a cousin of the bride.
About one hundred guests were entertained at a reception at the home of the bride’s parents and in the evening there were over 500 guests at the dance given in honor of the couple at the Rib River ballroom.
