Walter J. Artus Laid To Rest Monday

Funeral services for Walter J. Artus, 41, town of Halsey carpenter who died of a heart attack he suffered while at work in Wausau last Friday, were held Monday afternoon at the Steiber Funeral home and the German Methodist church in the town of Rib Falls. The Rev. Hubert Feldt officiated and burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Wesley Hoffman, Joseph Bedyneck, Norman Hanke, Martin Heise, Lawrence Hanke and George Dahlke.

Walter J. Artus was also a brother of William Artus, manager of the Farmer’s warehouse of Marathon whose name was omitted in our issue last week.
