My grandfather came from Calabria. His name was Frank Artuso. He came to New York around 1920 and move to southwest Pennsylvania to the town of Donora. He started a shoe store that his wife (Rose Ritacco also from the town of Santa Denata in Calabria) and he had for over 50 years.
