I'm trying to research a branch of my family with the surname ARTUSA (note the A at the end). However, I believe that the real spelling may be ARTUSO.

My g-grandmother was Teresa Artusa. According to her social security registration, she was born 16 Nov 1887 in Italy. She married Michael Tassone (b. 1886 Calabria, d. 5 Nov 1942 Chicago) in Calabria. They immigrated to northern Michigan and most of her family worked in the mines in Ishpeming. They later moved to Chicago. Other information listed on her social security card:
father: John (Giovanni?) Artusa
mother: Rose M.
