I haven't ever done any research, but out of curiosity did a search and wound up here.
I notice that many references are from Arvelos in Puerto Rico. I don't know anything about where the name is from, but I thought I'd offer to the board that my family is from Curacao, for whatever that's worth, and if anyone's looking for any information that I might have.
