My name is Ashley Rivera and I have been trying to find information on my ancestry and have been running into all kinds of problems largely because I know very little about my dad's side of the family.

Anyway, here is what I know:

Generation 1:

Carlina Arvelo married Jose Padillo.
They had at least one child: Aurea L. Padillo born Oct 1930 in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico.

Generation 2:

Aurea L. Padillo married Ángel Luis Rivera. He was born in Oct 1921 and died Dec 1995. They had three children: Angel Jose Rivera (born 20 Nov 1960 and died 19 May 2005), Maritza Rivera and Aurea Lilly Rivera.

My father was Angel Jose Rivera and from what I have been told, the whole family (all the individuals I have been told about) all grew up in Mayaguez. I also know that Angel Luiz Rivera and Aurea L. Padillo had a farm (either sugar cane or bananas or both).

Anyway, I don't know much else as I have never been to Puerto Rico or met anyone else in the family other than my dad's sisters and my grandma. If any of this sounds familiar please write me an e-mail or a reply thread. I'd appreciate it!
