My Grandfather (John Linus Arvidson), came to the US sometime after his brother, Carl Arvidson. He was never reuinited with Carl, never found Carl after coming to the US. They were Swedish, but born and raised in Oslo, Norway. John settled first in Ryder, North Dakota. His parents came over from Norway and lived with his family. He moved to California later and was an egg farmer in San Luis Obispo, CA. He died in 1960 and must have been about 60 years old. He and my grandmother had 9 children. My Dad was the youngest, Howard Arvidson. He died this year at 69. I have 23 cousins on my dad's side around the US. We keep in touch.
