I'm looking for any relatives of Helgo Arvidson, born about 1896 in Sweden, I believe his wife was Ethel, born about 1908, came to Prentice, Wisconsin sometime around 1878. This is my husbands family and he don't know much about them. Trying to get a family tree started for him. Gevideon is the name that comes up on the census, so Arvidson is what it was changed to. Helgo's father could have been Chas. Arvidson, there was also a Kathryn (Katherine), Alice, Agnes, Jimmy (died in and accident on the way home from school, possibly 7 0r 8 yrs. old),Arthur, Anna. Helgo or Helgo's son, had a son named "Wilbur", born May 1, 1931, died September 26, 2003. He was married to a Janice Voight. Some relatives may be in Minnesota. The furthest I have been able to go back is to my great-great grandfather Arvid Arvidson born in Sweden in 1817 and died in 1914. I don't know who he married, but I do know they had 4 daughters and one son. The son being my great grandfather, Emil Arvidson born in Goteborg Sweden August 2, 1866 and died in 1919 I believe in Aitkin, MN. Emil married Alma Nelson from Boras, Sweden. She was born May 25, 1880 and died in 1949 in Aitkin, MN. Together they had 10 children. Bertel, Carl, Erving, Eric, Floyd, Mabel, Signe, Mildred, Edward and Elvera. We have lost track of my mother's youngest brother, Elbert Linneus Arvidson. He was still living in the 1970's. Elbert was born in Chicago in 1910, a fraternal twin with a sister (June). His parents were Charles Arvidson of Sweden (parish unknown) and Amanda Fredrika Elise Johnson of Kalmar who emigrated around 1889. We have information about Amanda's family, but not much about Charles'. Charles had cousins who lived in Proctor, VT. One Robert was an attorney in East Lansing, Michigan.

There is a chance that Carl lived ion a farm with the Pehrsson family in Vasterhult near Granna from 1871 until he left the country

They settled in New Jersey and had 7 children:
Helga, Signe, Judith, Wilfred, Oscar, Joseph, Ernest

Looking for information on my grandfather Sven Arvid Petersson (DOB 12 March 1901) that came to America in 1920 from Kalmar Sweden. At the time he came he changed his name to Sven Arvid Arvidson. He had brothers and sisters that came also and settled in the Chicago area. One brother went to North or South Dakota and farmed. Some of his brothers also changed their surname to Arvidson. His mother married a second time to Johan August Svensson in 1919 and at her death in 1937 at Eklunda Sweden her will stated her name as Ida Kristina Svensson. I am trying to gather information on both of his parents and siblings.

Bernhard Arvidson was born in Sweden in 1879. On 7 Mar 1903, he married Augusta Svenson, dau of Gustav Svenson and Neta Hansdotter in Valley Springs, Minnehaha Co., SD. Bernhard d. 6 Oct 1948 and Augusta d. 16 Dec 1958. They had at least one daughter, Ruth Antonia Arvidson b. 16 April 1905 in Sioux Falls, Minnehaha Co., SD. She married Harold Ferdinand Kroona on 26 Aug 1932 in Kandiyohi Co., MN. I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has information about the ancestors or descendants of this family.
