E. Laval Arwood in GA

My G-grandmother Louisa Tedder said she was married to E. Laval Arwood about 1860 in Cobb or Cherokee Co., GA and had Theodore N. 1861 and James A. 1862 and Laval died in the Battle of Stone Mountain in 1864.
I find Arwoods in Cobb and Cherokee Counties but not him and neither can I find a CSA record for him.
I find 2 males not belonging to the John Evans Arwood family, Tolliver age 25 NC and William age 22 b. Ga. Tolliver is married and has son Theodore born 1859.
Louisa married again in 1869 and the Arwood boys and the Medford family all came to Texas in 1872. I know these boys exist, just where was the father?
Willie Kate Arwood death date

I am looking for a death date for Willie Kate Arwood, wife of Turle Rethel Arwood. A friend of mine is wanting to put her death date on her tombstone, and he asked me to try to find her death date, but so far I haven't had much luck. I've checked the SSDI, but she was not listed. I have tried to find an obituary for her, but again, no luck. All I have been able to find out is that she died pretty soon after her husband, who died June 1975. So so far all I have is that she died late 1975 or early 1976 in Sevier Co., TN. She is buried in Alder Branch Cemetery in Sevier Co., TN. If anyone out there could be of any help, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for any help anyone might be able to give me.,

Brenda Oody

Arwoods in Tennessee, Georgia, and Alabama

My husband's grandmother was an Arwood. Her name was Ola Arwood. She was born on Jan. 9, 1892. Her parents were Caroline Alice and Bruce B. Arwood born May 17, 1857. They are both buried in Morristown, Tennessee. Ola Arwood married Arcus Lee Sparks and lived and is buried in Anniston, Alabama. Ola had four sisters: Dora, Jessie, Helen, and Edwina. She had six brothers: Walter, Osker, Earnest, Howard, Floyd, and George. I think some of those children lived in the Atlanta, Georgia area. I also have the birthdates on all of these siblings taken from Grandpa Arwood's Bible. If anyone has any kindred connections, please e-mail us at SWill35791@aol.com

Searching for Information on Grandfather

My grandfather, Aubrey Arwood, came to Lansing, Michigan in the late 20's. He and my Grandmother, Pluma (Silvey) Arwood were married and lived for a time in Cullman, AL. My grandfather died in 1944 at an early age. Efforts to learn about his birthplace and other relatives have proved nearly useless. It is thought that he came from N. Carolina. My grandmother died at 92 years of age and would not divulge any information. My Father was young when his dad died and knows little. Aunts and Uncles are dead. Any clues?

Mr. Arwood--Southern Railway conductor--1920's GA

I am doing historical research on the wreck of Southern Railway passenger trains Royal Palm and Ponce de Leon which hit head-on at my home town Rockmart GA on 12-23-1926. I am trying to find photos and biographical info on all railroad employees involved. Conductor Arwood (do not know first name or initials) was the conductor on the Ponce de Leon. Would like to hear from any relative or descendant who can help me with a photo of him and some biographical info (dates of birth and death, where he was from, dates of service with Southern Railway, etc.) All I know is that Conductor Arwood survived the wreck and continued in service with Sou. Ry.
