Hi Alex, I really do not know what part of Chihuahua my Grandfather Augustine was from. He could have just met up with my Grandmother Angela there. Her maiden name was Quiroz, she apparently was from Barcelona, I do not know if my Grandfather might have brought her from there or what....I do know that he was very tall, over 6ft. was very fairskinned and loved to roll his own cigarillos. from a little pouch as much as I remember. I was so little then. maybe 3 years old or even 2. so to answer your question, I do not know...He loved to wear those big wide brimmed hats. and I just remember his fragrance, those old cigarillos that he rolled. it seems so long ago....sitting next to him on an old canopy swing in the backyard. funny, how you can remember just some things. I was maybe 8 or 9 when he passed on. I still remember my mom fainting when they told her the news over the phone. He died in El Paso and he and my grandmother are buried there.
