I have a Jesusa Ruiz married to a Pedro Arzola. Jesusa's mother was Rosa Cardenas and father's name was Jose Maria Ruiz. Her sibling were, Francisca, Santiago, Amador, Josephina, and Dolores. They were from the Frio County area in Texas. Does this sound familiar? I have Francisca's family line. She married Higinio Gonzales. Most of the family now lives in Ohio. Francisca past away in 2000 at 90 years old. Let me know.

I have done some on-line research on this name. My grandfather's name was Pedro Martinez Arzola of Zapata, Tx.

I am assuming his mother's maiden name was Martinez. The name of Pedro Arzola seems to date back to the 1600's and appears to be an ancestral name being handed down from generation to generation. I am still checking, but I have a Pedro Chapa Arzola b: 1/29/1863 in Monterrey N.L. Mexico that might be my great grandfather. Does anyone know how I can get any kind of documentation on a person from that generation? Church documents??? You can contact me at rdbstephens1@comcast.net.

Hello, My leads are slim but I have got José ARZOLA married Conception TRUJILLO (maybe Grenada, but I'm not sure). Their two daughters Secondina 1828/1865 in Santiago de Cuba and Digna Maria b. 1928 Santiago and died there 1889 married with Wlater DOUGLAS. All descendants are in US, now. Any information on this couple ARZOLA y TRUJILLO is greatly appreciated. Many thanks.

Hello, My leads are slims but I have José ARZOLA (Spain) married Conception TRUJILLO maybe from Grenada. They moved from Santiago de Cuba and their daughter Digna Maria b. 1829 + 1889 in Santiago . Her sister was Secondina ARZOLA 1828/1865.

My father is law, Ernest is from El Paso, TX but born in Juarez. His father is Alfonso Arzola from Chihuaha right above Durango and his grandfather was Jose Arzola. My father-in law always said the name was decended from Italy.

The Arzola name comes from Sardinia,Italy it means small ea but is many times used as meaning to count or "il contadini" in Sardinia there is a rtual named S'Arzola.

Thought it is not in the Italian language the name Arzola comes from Italy. Sardo is what the Arzola name is and it means to count or "il contadini" in Sardinia there is a ritual clles S'Arzoa. I think it is sad people dont eaven know what the last name Arzola means anymore. People must realize the name Arzola is not from Spain but rather from Italy. The fact is however that people from Mexico and such countries had their ancestors come from Spain or really dontknow where their ancestors came from.

As I understand it, the Arzola family came to the Americas with Christopher Columbus, or around that time. My grandmother is an Arzola, and she was the one that found that out, I may be wrong but it just might be true. Never know!

I wrote to a Sardinian teacher and he told me that the word COULD BE from the Sardinian language. But it's really not sure that the Surname comes from there. Do you maybe have some more informations, please?

I am trying to locate the arzola family that lived in monteray in the early 1800. His name was Hilario Arzola and he was married to Tibursia Botello-Ortiza. They had a daughter named Epitacia Arzola b.5/24/1857 and was married to James Walter Sullivant and they had several children while living there. Anything would be helpful

I am looking for decendants of Antonio de Alzola (DOB 1815 in Bedarona, Vizcaya, Spain) married to Ma. Erdaide born about 1818 in Nachitua Vizcaya spain. They had at least one son Pedro Antonio born in Guernica and who in turn had 3 children. The 2 boys moved to Cuba, Jose and Mateo where they both died. Any help would be appreciated.

El apellido Arzola tiene significado según raices Vascas
y Sardas ( Italia hoy ).
Parece que del Imperio Romano a España y de ahí a

Italia è Spagna vicina a sono sicuro che lei può vedere come è arrivato a Spagna molti anni fa. La mia credenza è quell'Amerigo Arzola era uomo di genitori italiani non solo perché era sinistro ma perché si chiama in italia italiano. Il nome di Arzola arrivato nelle Americhe due maniere di diffrent un era dal viaggio italiano e l'altro dal viaggio Spagnolo.
