My name is Juan, and I am trying to trace
the Arzola bloodlines as well. The Arzola
family that I come from was from Chihuahua.
My father was born in Parral, Chihuahua in
1935. If anyone has information from the
Arzola lineage that hails from this part of
Chihuahua, please e-mail me at jarzola@
ucla.edu. Hope to hear from someone soon.
Juan

Not Vasque Not Spanish but Italian!!!!!!!!!!!

Thought it is not in the Italian language the name Arzola comes from Italy. Sardo is what the Arzola name is and it means to count or "il contadini" in Sardinia there is a ritual clles S'Arzoa. I think it is sad people dont eaven know what the last name Arzola means anymore. People must realize the name Arzola is not from Spain but rather from Italy. The fact is however that people from Mexico and such countries had their ancestors come from Spain or really dontknow where their ancestors came from.

For anyone who has information about the villa in Italy named Arzola please tell me as much as you can about it I know it is near lake Bouno, but I dont know what state it is in..could it be in Sardinia? Scince Arzola is a word in the Sardo language. I also thought it would be intresting for you to know that there is a place in Durango,Mexico named La Sienega de los Arzola. Which means that the Arzolas have 2 territories. Any wealthy Arzola out there can you please buy pleanty of land in Mexico or Italy and make a third city named after our family?

Rosa, Alex - and anyone else,

Do any of you have family trees already drawn up. If you do, and you don't mind, e-mail them to me. I'll do the same. That way it will be easier to compare. We all know that many spanish names are common and it would be difficult for me to just ask my grandfather about your ancestors without something like a family tree to compare. You can reach me at lga@bbklaw.com. Thanks!
