Have a friend born in Toronto in 1960 to Oswald Artz and Maria Hoffman. He is searching for info (and a birth certificate). He thinks he was born Richard Hoffman-Artz. Moved to Australia with mother Maria as a baby. Mother also married at some time to a guy with last name Kutryn.

Have you found anything? My great great grandfather was Christian Arzt, born 1832 in Grosssachsenheim, Vailhingen District, Germany. He left the German army as a young man to come to the US. Eventually settled i Michigan.

I would like to share information with you. The name may have been changed to Artz in the second generation here, which makes it more difficult to trace.

I look forward to hearing from you.

I can send more info on their spouses if you like. Also if you any info from the Arzt family in Michelstadt I would appreciate it.
