Hi Annette. Thanks for the message. I have the 1941 citizenship application of Antonio Asaro, and his son James (Vincenzo. My late father Frank knew James and I think there is a picture of him in one of our family albums. I also have the citizenship application of James from 1941 which has a picture. My father Frank Passic (1919-1974) was in the pizza business with Pete Asaro( 1922-1995) son of Vito (Vito and Antonio were cousins) in the 1960s. I am still in contact with descendants. Mary (Asaro) Luedtke (sister of Pete) lives just a block from me here in Albion. One daughter of Pete, Brenda (Asaro) Lohrke lives at: 3609 Anita Drive, Bell, CA 90201.
I have written numerous articles and books about Albion area history. I give cemetery tours in the fall and featured Mrs. Vito Asaro on my Ethnic tour one year. For more information, go to: www.albionmich.com. Click on the Albion History Directory. Then click on the Historical Notebook articles option. you will then reach my page. Then click on books and materials option. If you don't have copies of the citizenship papers I mentioned, let me know and I can send them to you if you supply me with your mailing address. Best wishes, Frank Passic, Albion Historian. albionfp@hotmail.com
