Mary:
Please excuse my earlier posting. I just read some of your old postings. To think it was I trying to explain things to you. Oops! How wonderful that you've actually been to Mazzara. Perhaps you know Nick from New Jersey.
Anyway...my husband has an Antonino and a Vita who are the children of a Giovanni Battista Asaro. They have siblings who settled in NYC and NJ in the 1920's & 1930's. That's who we are related to. Do they sound familiar? I can only go to the 1880's or so. I know more names than dates.
Also, we had a tragic childhood death on our side. It actually happened in Mazzara. Perhaps your family knows of it?
When you e-mail me I'll tell you more. Hopefully, I can fill you in on your missing family.
