I have posted before, my husband's family is from Mazara del Vallo, not far from Castellammare del golfo.

My husband's name is Anthony Asaro, his father was Leonardo, and grandfather Francesco (born 1843). Francesco's father was Antonino and mother was Vita Maria Vultaggio.
Francesco married his first wife, Angela Perniciaro, born 1850, died 1873, they had one son, Antonino, born 1872,(who had 4 children with Antonia Maria Asaro, born 1876, she was the daughter of Andrea Asaro and Maria Inzinna. She may have been from Maruzza).
Francesco then married Antonina Zinna in 1875. and they had 8 children.
My father-in-law, Leonardo was born Jan. 12, 1880 in Mazara. He was Francesco's #3 son. Leonardo came to US in 1905, and settled in St. Louis, MO. Married Rosina Villafranca, who came from Mazara del Vallo, in 1920 in St. Louis and they had 4 children.
I have the genealogy of all of Leonardo's brothers and sisters (9 total) and their families. only one other son of Francesco came to US, Giuseppe and lived in St. Louis. The rest stayed in Mazara and there families are still there. I am still looking for that missing link, which would be siblings of Francesco and the children of Antonino and Vita Maria...Any connections what so ever?
