my dad was born in La Piedad, Michoacan. My granfather, Jose Trinidad Ascencio Basurto was born in Arandas, Mich. in early 1900s... he had two brothers, Apolonio Ascencio Basurto and Daniel Ascencio Basurto.... and their father (my great grandfather) Lorenzo Ascencio was also born in Arandas in 1882. I dont know if that helps.
